My strong message is ‘blood must not have blood’. None of this eye for an eye business. I don’t stand for anyone bullying bullies. So, it’s not about that. It’s not about that. I hate hearing all of this craziness all over social media. People bullying other people, ships hating other ships- let’s promote the show. My big message is keep watching the show. Keep watching The 100. It’s an incredible show and that’s my family. So I want to promote that you keep supporting my cast, my crew. My cast are the hardest working cast that I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. The crew…you don’t even see what they do off screen. They are absolutely incredible; from hair and makeup, props, post edits- you know, they work their fingers to the bone and all of this silliness about not watching because Lincoln died or because Lexa died. I understand that you get attached to characters, but you know, these are my friends, you know, and if there is no show there is no job and you miss out on an incredible production. The show is fantastic, the show is going to keep being great. You know, every show has problems. Every show makes mistakes.
I think that something needs to be made clear. This Ricky situation is not about screentime. It is not about Alycia or Clexa or any ships. If you don’t believe me, believe it from the source.
It’s about a man of power bullying the actors that work for him. Stop saying that Ricky is being petty because of screentime. He is speaking out against a bully, which is a profoundly brave thing to do. Ricky is probably not the only person to experience bullying on the set of The 100. He is being courageous. So you bet your ass that I stand with Ricky Whittle.
